Sewing Sewing Sewing

So the jean quilt tops are finished!!! HOORAH!!! Too bad I have like a gazillion other sewing projects to work on. I'm kind of done with sewing at the moment.....oh well... just give a girl her essential sewing kit (DIET COKE AND POPCORN) and she is ready to go. BRING.IT.ON!!!! More projects on their way!!!!

Isn't it so lovely in all it's "I'm a dead black tree with crows" glory! I've decided that this is the year that I will decorate my home for Halloween/Fall. I'm so excited to make this lovely Nevermore Tree and put it on my table as the centerpiece..... EEEEKK!

I'll be putting it together in the next few weeks. I'll be sure to post the results!!!

September Goals........

So.... this is my attempt to make a list of goals. If you know me, you know I am a bad goal setter and an even worse goal doer! However, my decision to make all our Christmas gifts this years has left me full of anxiety and the need to organize myself, thoughts, and time! So here are the things I WILL complete this month.

1. Organize the recently finished desk and hutch. (Will post pics soon, it's BOOTIFUL!)

2. Go to the Farmer's Market before it ends for the year.

3. Take Noah to the ZOO!

4. Stich together 2 jean quilt tops.

5. Make 8 ties.

WOOT WOOT...... GIT R DONE!

Graceling

I finished this book last week and let me tell you.... it had such an interesting concept. I identified a lot with the main character "Katsa" who has this "grace" that people use to their advantage. It is a great book about finding out who you are and surviging and sacrifice and it was awesome. There is a prequel coming out in October called Fire so hurry and go get this one and read it!

One day, not too long ago, this random girl (that would be me..) walked into some fabric store and found these........

Oh and let me tell you that girl, she fell in LOVE!!! (with the fabric of course... because she's already married.. ya know)

She's going to turn these new loves into beautiful pillows. Oh how she loves a good pillow... ask her husband! When they met, she had 17 on her bed!

Anyone want a 500 lb elephant??

Has anyone else been feeling like this latley? There is so much going on around me and so many things I want to do and so many other things I don't and trying to figure them all out is just exhausting!

Lately, I've wanted to get working on a lot of crafts... DIY.... stuff.... like:

Jean Quilts

First Scrap Quilt

Making all of this year's Christmas Presents (Ties, hats, scarves.. just to name a few)

Sewing together new pillows for our couch

Doing the silhouette's of our family

Painting my new desk and hutch

Cooking better food for my family and sharing it with all of you

I seriously can't find the time or energy to do all this stuff. It is just downright making me feel HEAVY! AAAAHHH what to do???

I also have been on this reading kick and can't seem to find myself without a good book in hand. It's like if I don't have a book to read, I don't have a soul or a purpose. Dramatic I know, but SERIOUSLY.... it's really like that!

I keep looking at all your blogs and find inspiration to keep going.. THANK YOU....

Hopefully I will get out of this rut and get back to life; for life is good and happy and meant to be enjoyed... right?

And if anyone wants the 500 lb elephant, just come over and I'll give him to you off my chest... GRATIS!

Reading Reading Reading

Wow.... is all I can really say! I just finished this book and it was AMAZING! I was up until 2:30 in the morning finishing it.... I know... crazy..... OH WELL!

This is a young adult book that will definately not disappoint. It has a sequal that is coming out on 9/1/09 called Catching Fire. Hurry and read this book so you can pick that one up as soon as it's out.
